cOMMUNITY pOLICING IS WHO WE ARE!
Greenfield Police Department maintains a bicycle patrol program that works in the downtown area as well as the city's parks and neighborhoods. You may have seen our bike patrol officers working during parades, community events and fairs.
Currently there are no Greenfield School Resource Officers (SRO) although Ofc. Jason Kratz and Ofc. Matthew Llewelyn are trained for the position. SRO's are responsible for and visiting all of the schools in Greenfield. Their primary responsibility is to serve as a liaison between the school and the police department while providing information to student and school personnel about law enforcement activities.
COMMUNITY DISPATCH SERVICES
An Emergency Dispatcher is a professional telecommunicator who receives, gathers and relays information related to police, fire, dpw and medical emergencies. They are responsibile for triaging all of our calls for service and simultaneously receive/handle our regular business lines. Our Emergency Dispatchers are trained to be highly proficient at all levels of Dispatch services for our community and have the ability to request the needs of state and county resources at any time.
