  The Department is committed to the concept of Community Policing. In simple terms, we want to work within the boundaries of the community’s culture and resources to identify those problems involving quality of life issues surrounding crime and the fear of crime.

  We are the last resort at times for people who need help when no one else is available. Our organization is bound by numerous responsibilities and we need the  confidence of the public.  We are here to proudly serve our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mission Statement

The members of the Greenfield Police Department will provide the highest level of service to the community, to reduce crime and fear of crime through the enforcement of laws and the protection of life, property and the rights of all. We will strive to meet the present and future needs of the community by enabling the public to communicate and form partnerships with officers on crime and fear of crime issues. We will remain dedicated to service and committed to excellence, by focusing on the following core values:
